Hi!

From which event you redraw the square? As far as I know, all drawing code should be put into the Paint event of the form for correct repainting each time something change on the form appearance.

HTH.

>I have an application that draws a square on a form (using the box property and draw method) to the user specified dimensions. Occassionally, I have to make another control visible over the drawing area. However, when I hide the control and run the draw method again, the portion of the drawing area that was covered by the control does not get drawn.

The professional level of programmer could be determined by level of stupidity of his/her bugs

It is not appropriate to say that question is "foolish". There could be only foolish answers. Everybody passed period of time when knows nothing about something.
