Is there any way to do the above? I have a pile of laptops running NT workstation that have a networked and a mobile hardware profile. I can't depend on the users to even select the proper user profile at times, so I thought if I can detect the hardware configuration, I can direct the app through the proper hoops at startup. I believe I could fish through the registry and get the current control set and work the problem that way, but I think that could be a mess once the hardware configuration changes, for whatever reason (new NIC, modem, etc.) Anyone have any insight? TIA.
