yeahh!! but I found a program that converts such files *.doc to *.pcx its name is LaserFax from Visual Software located in the UK, the package is about $500 bucks.. and they have a small demo for overlay images on an HP laser just what I was looking for.. now for your solution go and check their site It has a bunch of utilites ...
