We have been receiving errors 1705(File access denied) and error 41(invalid or missing fpt) randomly throughout our system in the field. Each time these errors occur it is on the same line of code as we have determined from our error logs. We have determined that these are not problems related to a file being opened exclusively. We have determined that when a read only attribute is set on the .fpt file ONLY we can reproduce the error 41 at the same line of code. Also when we place a read-only attribute on the .cdx file ONLY we get the error 1705 at the same line of code. We don't really know for sure if the setting of attributes is happening in the field. We do not set any file attributes programmatically, could FoxPro be doing this? The erroring code exists in a timer and data access is across a network.
