Stuart,

My usual method is to put an SQL SELECT statement in the CLICK() of the button that "runs" the report. That creates a cursor that is the current work area. My reports controols refer to the fields as MyField only, not MyCursor.MyField. My reports have nothing at all in the data environment.

You could run your query in the CLICK() of the button and follow it with your REPORT FORM statment.

>How do I use a query that I have created in the query designer as my data source in a report? As far as I can see there is only an option to use tables and views as the data source. Because of the links in the database I can't get the data I want using just the tables and the links between them.
