Hi Stephen,

This is called "replication". SQL server and MSDE (MS Data Engine) can manage this for you. You can probably replicate (no pun intended) the functionality, but it would be re-inventing the wheel.

MSDE used to be free, but I recall reading somewhere that the user license is quite confusing nowadays (someone who know better might add his/her 2 cents here).
