>I am building specs for a new server to replace my 3 year-old NT4.0 server which has a 5GB HD and and Iomega 1Gig Jazz internal SCSI and Ultrabac backup software. We have only (7) NT4.0 clients on the network, so it is really kind of a small setup, but I back it up every night and the data is the life of the company.

>Can you all please recommend some good removeable cartridge backup devices to use? The Iomega Jazz drive seems to cause me trouble occassionaly, so I want to take this opportunity to get the best device out there.

>New computer will probably be Win 2000 Server and I want to keep (upgrade) my Ultrabac software becuase I like it, and I do not want to spend any more money on software.
You may also want to consider the following alternatives:
Hard-disks are currently one of the cheapest options per GB. Re-usable, too. You can make them removable with a "disk-rack", but if you don't have a "hot-swappable" system, you have to restart your computer.
Another option you can consider (even cheaper per GB, but not as re-usable) is a CD writer. Some can be written only once, some more than once.
