It's bad enough that they have given us a new hassle to deal with but what's worse is what's going to happen when they say NO to an install. Do you think they know how much they piss off their customers?

Well, it does seem that we're headed towards a subscription type model with Microsoft and perhaps other software vendors. It just seems to me that the kinds of issues that I haven't seen addressed (I've probably just missed them) are, for example, what you will need to do when a hard disk drive crashes and you need to reinstall 20-30 different products. Then what about backups as the new registry (is this where they stash the registration info?) won't have the old activation information?
Seems like a swamp but, again, perhaps this has all been sorted out.
Guess we'll see....
Best,
DD
