Oops, yes MSComm32. I haven't used it for file transfer, but I HAVE used the West Wind software and it works very smoothly with excellent examples.

I've only used the MSComm32 for a warehouse link that sends data from handheld scanners to an inventory program. Worked great with about 15 scanners working simultaneously.
