I found the MS Help stuff incomprehensible. But the West Wind Help Builder is easy to use. I found I could add HTML tags where I needed them for formatting not included in his toolbars and that when I made a mistake his error messages were clear and to the point. Well worth the investment, particularly since my client liked the result so well he had me rewrite the HLP files in another app into a new CHM file - the extra hours were 10 times the amount I spent on the software.
