I think you need to give us a bit more information...
When you say import and export function of SQL server do you mean DTS? or something else?
If this is SQL server 6 then the DTS import hangs if you're using the client to import the data - try it from the server
Which version of SQL server are you using?
What's the error message?
Have you tried using the VFP upsizing wizard? it works pretty well.
