The classical problem goes something like this: "A hunter leaves his camp, sees a bear, and follows it. Following the bear, the hunter goes 1 km. south, then 1 km. west, then 1 km. north - and (having walked only those 3 km.) ends up at his camp again. What color is the bear?"
And the classical answer is: Since the hunter started at the North Pole, the bear was white.
After this problem circulated many years, however, it was found that points other than the North Pole could also satisfy the criteria! What points?
