Thanks. I have seen an article by craig at esolserv. I will check this one too. I have been studying the corruption posts since I last posted to you. There are posts that describe the exact type of corruption I had. Most attribute them to system crashes. I am trying to clarify, however, the specifics of this type of corruption which I believe to be very specific. I am trying to determine whether system crashes alone are sufficient to cause it, or whether it is somehow tied up with the buffering method, and/or the types of updates being done, and whether any of the service packs will have any impact. I am studying the posts on using foxfix vs sdt, etc.
I absolutely agree that I should create a new thread, now that I know the origin of the problem. Well.. its late.. so I will start the new thread tomorrow.
