>Yea, what I got is between 15 to 30 units that need to be able to program the on and off times by the calendar for specific rooms. We (my HVAC buddy) can't find any off the shelf things to do this. There are people out there that do this but they are quite expensive...
The HVAC and controls business is mature... I don't believe you can't find something from York International, The Trane Company, Honeywell or Johnston Controls, Inc. to name a few, that would meet your needs. There are systems available to run entire skyscrapers and shopping malls.
They might be more expensive than you'd like but you need to consider:
- 24/7/365 reliability and the ability to get someone out to service it if needed. No PC can do this, period.
- you may need to meet building codes in your area; equipment may legally require UL or equivalent approval (or for insurance purposes)
