ALL,

We've been getting many individual inquiries regarding our latest version of Codebook for Mere Mortals. Here's a rundown on the major changes we have made in the last two versions:

* Integration with Steven Black's INTL toolkit

* Added support for "Extended Family" relationships with business objects (e.g. grandparents, grandchildren)

* Allow business objects to be added to forms dynamically at run time. This allows you to delay the instantiation of business objects (and any associated controls) until they are accessed by the user. This provides faster form instantiation.

* Created a new Logical Data Environment Loader class that allows you to load cursors into the data environment outside the confines of a business object. This is useful for loading cursors whose records will not be changed.

* Added support for the creation and use of primary integer keys. Integer keys are faster and take up less disk space.

* Added two new controls the User Preference form that allows you to set the foreground / background memory for Visual FoxPro. These values are used in conjunction with SYS(3050) to allocate memory at application startup.

* Added more developer hooks

* Enhanced documentation. As we answer tech support questions we put the answers into our Developer's Guide for the benefit of others. We have also added new material in the sections explaining business objects, forms and data environments.

* And many other smaller changes...

We are currently working on the next version of the framework. It will include integration with Stonefield's database tookit as well as many other enhancements.
