We had this problem (Access violation errors) whith DTS packages running overnight. This was on the list of things solved by SQL7 SP3 so we applied it and we haven't experienced it ever since.

GPF's are hard to track so we went for the easiest route that worked. It wasn't preventing the packages from running so it wasn't too big of a deal.

What version of SQL & SP are you on?
