I would like to write up a feature request and send it to Microsoft. Are there any sources of information on how to do this in order to acheive the maximum attention from Microsoft? I'm hoping someone has developed a Word template for this type of request?
I could have sworn that at one time someone from Microsoft posted some suggestions on how to do this as well as where to submit the request. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find my notes on this topic.
If anyone from Microsoft is lurking (Mike, Garett, ...), it would be great to see an example of what you guys consider to be a *world class* example of a feature request.
Here's my strawman outline - subject to feedback from the community and/or Microsoft:
1. Summary
2. Benefits
3. Syntax with examples
4. Draft help file text/update
5. Draft knowledge base update
6. Test scripts for validating feature
7. Implementation strategies (where applicable)
8. Compile time and runtime errors
9. Warnings
Thanks!
