Most seem to be trying to retire as billionaires before they are 50. It's no wonder things don't work (software, tires, medicines, you name it) but prices on those items continue to climb because of lack of competition.

Yes, I too think that far too many people are focused far too much on wealth of the Money variety. Our entire culture, as displayed thru Television Advertisement, is one of sex and money. If we let our kids watch TV, even something as innocuous as Disney, the advertisers are bypassing us and going directly after them, taking unfair advantage of their unformed ability to distinguish between real and unreal, moral right and wrong. It's just another example of the lack of conscience that has taken over the souls of too many people in positions of power.
