I used Whistler Advanced Server Beta2 last winter for a while as a developer desktop machine. When WindowsXP Professional RC1 was released I moved to that since I had some memory leaks with Whistler Advanced Server Beta2.

MSFT separated the server versions with the July release so there would be more time to perfect them and still release WinXP Pro and Home on time. I believe Beta3 or RC1 of the server versions will be out by the end of the year. As Mike said, they're going to be called Windows .NET servers.
