Hi!
I do nto know MM framework, however, just a suggestion - in the Load of the form, create the cursor using CREATE CURSOR command with the same alias name and structure as used for the result of SPT query.
HTH.
>The SQL Mere Mortals 6.1 Framework now provides SQL Pass Through Data Services.
>Using these SPT services I tried to populate the SearchListObj.GrdList of a cFindForm. At instantiation,I get an 'Invalid Controlsource' message.
>Since the Controlsource of the Grid is a SPT result set 'spt_findprod' that doesn't exist until the SQL has been sent to the back end, this behaviour doesn't seem unlogical. In using views, I never had this behaviour since all the fields of a view are defined and thus the controlSource is known even if the view is empty. I could of course try to get an empty cursor first but I don't want to mess with the framework because apparently I'm missing something about how these SPT data services are to be used. I didn't find anything on this in the Developer's guide.
>Can anybody tell me how I can avoid this phenomenon? Thanks.

The professional level of programmer could be determined by level of stupidity of his/her bugs
It is not appropriate to say that question is "foolish". There could be only foolish answers. Everybody passed period of time when knows nothing about something.
