There are a couple of issues:
- man power. Should the VFP team spend time coding something that's available elsewhere or spend time on VFP itself?
- Windows Installer. From what I understand, the original plan was to go with the Windows installer. When VFP was pulled from VS.Net, that meant the update to Windows installer would not be ready.
IMO, the Fox team made the best decision.
