Thanks for cc-ing me on your response, but it didn't answer the questions I put to you. I'm happy you solved your problem, but I agree with Sergey, you've treated a symptom and not a cause. Paraphrasing David Frankenbach, a bug mysteriously fixed will likely mysteriously reappear.
