I never could figure out why the Lotus word processor (Ami Pro now Word Pro) when it went to release 5 suddenly decided that the conventional Windows keystrokes weren't good enough for it, and implemented its own set. [snip]

Ami Pro was the best word process on the planet, and may still be. Easy to use, logical, consistant, intuitive. Then Lotus bought it. I switched to Word95 because 1) it was cheaper, 2) I didn't like the way the new Ami Pro worked.
