I need to establish an FTP connection from within my VB app to our Mainframe, then I need to execute certain FTP commands... I know how to create and open the connection, I know how to get,put & delete files but I don't know how to just issue FTP commands... Is there a way to do this from within VB without shelling out to DOS to run an FTP script? The command I need to issue is:
Literal Site Filetype=JES
This command needs to be executed before my Put statement.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
