I sure hope someone has some insight into this. We have a problem on some network installations with a distributed (runtime only) VFP 5 app (although the problem seems the same in VFP 6).

When the first user logs on, the app is very fast. Any subsequent user running the app are experiencing horrible speed. For instance, a form that loads almost instantaneously for the first user takes 40 seconds for others.

Here are some facts:
1) It doesn't seem to matter which user logs on first.
2) The version of NT doesn't seem to matter.
3) The version of the workstation doesn't seem to matter.
4) Modifying CONFIG.FPW to specify local work, edit, etc.. directories has no affect.
5) Most of the accounts this is occurring on have a relatively small amount of data, and the servers and workstations shoudl be more than competent.
6) This doesn't happen on all network installations.


This has been blowing my mind, so if anyone has ideas, I would greatly appreciate it.
