Besides the UniversalThread that you are using right now (all written in VFP using Web Connect) there are many others. If you want to find WC apps, search in your favorite search engine for wc.dll

Other options are available like AFP (Active Foxpro Pages), and also using ASP/VBS calling VFP objetcs that do specific things like dealing with data.
