>>>The uninstall of VS.NET beta 1 hung about 15 to 20 minutes into the process leaving the app title showing in Add/Remove Programs list but I can neither Add nor Remove. Attempting either simply brings up the Install dialog. Attempts to reinstall hang at the same dialog that caused the problem in the first place ("Searching for installed files...") Is there a way out of this Catch 22 (other than Format C: !) so I can install VFP 7?

>The uninstall of VS.Net is a joke. Why does it need to delete each file separately? Just delete the parent directory and be done with it. We can do this in Explorer... why can't MS do it in the uninstall?

Really? Does this technique get rid of the .Net Framework too?

I don't know, when the install is running it makes you believe that it's writing a miriad of keys to the registry. Is this all smoke and mirrors?
