Not really impossible. What if a LAN administrator, in order to make the installation easy, created a shortcut and downloaded it [or the executable] to each workstation? Another explanation is the shortcut could have the Desktop as the "Start In" folder.

It is very easy to propagate an error, and you should at least check out these possibilities. This is not a VFP bug.
