But, Mike, without an OS the box isn't going to do anything. The CPU will just idle with no instructions being sent to it. There are CPU bugs, like Intel's FF bug, floating point but, SouthBridge's vector bug, etc.... but that is one purpose of the OS, to vector around hardware bugs. That is what the vector addresses do, besides updating the burned in BIOS. So, a box is crash free if the OS is crash free, otherwise it is an OS problem.
