I did get a different error message this time: it's looking for mscvr70.dll and I don't see that anywhere including the dev machine where the dll runs fine, or on the microsoft site as a download. Is this supposed to be this difficult or am I lucky this week?

It sounds like the ISE merge module needs to be updated to, by default, include MSVCR70.dll - so the user doesn't have to figure it out by process of elimination.

Thanks for the info.
