I made the changes you suggested but the echo is still appearing. After I close the builder everything that is happening in the FoxPro environment is echoed, things typed in at the command line, even the statues line starts scrolling up the screen because of the times that are echoing. The only way to stop it is to quit FoxPro, OR run the project. If I run the project and exit it cleanly then I can go back to work, until I forget and open a builder again.
