If you keep in mind that reports CAN ALWAYS BE GENERATED IN UNDER 1 MINUTE, you will always find a way to 'tweek' your tables\code to generate them quickly. If you have other reports that take a while, try these tips:
1) Utilizing summary tables of tables which contain a lot of detail data.
2) Use separate tables that hold complex calculations that can be calculated ahead of reporting time during transaction processing (when doing data entry or data updates) rather than during batch processing (at time of report). These 'supporting' tables can then be related into and used for future reports.
