I hope this is not too far off topic, But I did read that you plan on using Adobe to create the files.... Nothing the matter with Adobe, but it is expensive. if you plan on users being able to create pdf's on the fly, then each user would have to fork over the 250 $ for adobe... .

I just stumbled across this dll (which can be called as a object from inside VFP) Its free.

The basics from what I can see so far, is that you could create reports as text files, with embedded font tags. .- similar to html type tags. < page > etc.

Then use this dll to convert it from plan text to a nicer viewable pdf format.

If your intersted if I get it all working, Ill let you know. But this is the direction I am going for VFP to pdf.

>I am trying to output the results of a report to a *.pdf file. I have read the different threads regarding this and the two main suggestions are to try West-Winds wwPDF class or Houston Brennan's "createpdf" procedure. I am using Acrobat Version 5 and Windows 98 and have had no success with either of these two suggestions.

I understand that these two pieces of code were written for earlier versions of Acrobat so my question is "Will they work with Adobe Acrobat Vs. 5?" If so, any guidance on how to approach this would be greatly appreciated.

In the beginning, there was a command prompt, and all was well.
