I struggled with Setup Wizard a couple of weeks ago trying to force the multiple DLLs in a client/server project to install in the correct order. InstallShield supports that. There is a place for both -- simple and full-featured. After all, it's the Fox way to have choices, isn't it? <g>

Well, certainly. I would remind you, however, that, at least IMV, getting something installed is part and parcel of the development process. If you can't get it installed, then no one can use it.

The old Setup Wizard is, afterall, a 16 bit app. As a result, it only "knows" about stuff up to Win 3.1, and we've far past that point. That's the reason why it can't do something as simple as create a desktop or start menu shortcut. It relies on the DDE interface with the Program Manager to create both the group and shortcuts.
