I am trying to create a remote view to data files for our billing system. I need read only access to real-time data. The data files are on a Unix server. I have a drive mapped to the path where the data files are located. I am working in VFP 6 sp4.

I create a DSN using the Microsoft Text driver to the path, and defined the field names and types. I have checked and the Schema.INI file was created correctly.

Whenever I try to create a remote view to the directory I get a message "No Tables Found"

The files are named filename.dat and contain simple comma delimited values. As these files are part of our billing system, I cannot modify them in any way.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
