OK, hold on. I think this function allows you to specify an external schema, so this might allow you to create an ADO-compatible XML. I haven't tried this myself, but if you want to try it this link might be of help: http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/xmlsdk30/htm/xmconxmlschemadevelopersguide.asp It's the XDR developer's documentation from MS.
