Could some else reproduce this error with VFP7 with the latest patches? FYI: I am running Windows 2000 SP2.

Create a new blank report. In the init event of the report DE but

SET STEP ON
x = x + 1
y = y + 1

Preview the report.
Click the cursor after y = y + 1 then select "run to cursor".
I get a fatal C5 error and VFP7 exits.
