Starting with VFP 7, the new deployment scheme of choice is supposed to be InstallShield Express. A limited version of the product ships with VFP 7.

The MSI stands for Microsoft Installer. MSM are the merge modules that the MS Installer uses to install it on your operating system. There is a white papaer on this in the Technical Articles directory on the CD.
