>I do not have the specific hardware configurations at the moment, but I do know that the clients will have Win95 and it will be an NT server. At this point, the number of heavy users for this specific app is around 10 with 10 - 15 casual users. Other apps will be loaded on the server and there may be around 150 total users of the server. This specific app is being written in VFP 5.0a and will use VFP's database. I'd appreciate all comments; the good, the bad and the ugly from everyones experiences on installing, configuration, etc., etc. for this type of arrangement.

I have several apps (both 3.0 and 5.0) running fine on a 200+ user NT network with 15-20 active users. We have converted all our Windows 3.1 machines to NT (both 3.51 and 4.0) and Windows 95. Most of the installation problems (and there haven't been that many) were experienced on the old 3.1 operating systems.

I am building all new applications around a MS SQLServer back end and VFP front end since I foresee the need to replicate data in several locations and I really like the idea of using stored procedures on the server side to enforce our business rules.

Good Luck,
Bob Tracy
