Dear Friend,

You would be happy to know that if you have a scenario like that:

A windows 98 machine, a linux server 6.2 or 7.0 and running Samba Server with domain logon functionality.

It is quite easy to change a network password from 98 machine & that password will also be updated automatically on:
1. Your samba user account
2. Your desktop local account
3. Your linux server user account.

Even you will have logon scripts running & profiles saved in your home directory.

means you will have a same setup & functionality as Windows NT.

This is also a 15 minutes task.

In case of messaging, Sendmail perfect installation & configuration is a 15 minutes task.

Whatever you do on NT, you can do on Linux & more.

Only requirement is the expansion of your knowledge. Even it doesn't need any developing research.

Thanks & Regards,

Sanjeev fron New Delhi, India
