In addition, other cause of the problem:
If table have 2-d or 3-d buffering (row buffering), ANY record pointer change (include "go (recno())" command) will cause automatic tableupdate(). Thuis when you tablerevert(), it could be too late - record already updated. If you have a grid on the form - no way, grid change record pointer automatically to refresh the grid, so records are updated. If no way to find what cause automatic update, use table buffering (4-th or 5-th).
