Thats basically what I did too, I wrote my own isntaller routines all in VFP, and it worked out very well (I got to call SDT stuff right from the installer). I talked with Toni Feltman about it after her WSH session in Mailwuakee last year, where she demonstrated tools F1 made to do the same. I bet there are quite a few installers written in VFP floating around.
