As I quoted from the Office EULA yesterday, it seems you can only install it on one box. Contrast this to the VFP7 EULA that seems to indicate that it's licensed to the individual purchaser, who can install it on as many boxes as they want as long as they're the only one using it. The EULA that I have on my home Windows XP box from which I type this states that it may be installed on only one computer. I would imagine other versions of Windows to be the same, though I'd have to research to confirm.

From what I read in the examples above, only VFP will allow you to do this. Office and Windows will not.

In my opinion, it's clearly spelled out in the EULAs. If the language in the EULA is so confusing that the average person can't figure out their options for installing the product, that's Microsoft's problem, not the user's. Office and Windows clearly state that you have a license for one box. I find the VFP EULA to a bit confusing in that I was looking for terms stating *where* I can install it, but then I realized that the VFP EULA was emphasizing licensing for an individual user, not boxes.

I would like to think that Microsoft has no problem with my clarifying the terms of the licensing agreements. I would only expect heat from above in the case where my answers are wrong. :-)
