>I know that explicitly issuing TableUpdate obviously causes TableUpdate to occur, but when using row buffering, other than when the pointer moves, what causes TableUpdate to be done? If I debug and then do a Browse on the view it seem to happen and I need to know what else as I try and track down why TableRevert does not seem to be working. Thanks!

Hmmm. I've heard of clients insisting on locking 'active' records, but that would mean pessimistic locking as opposed to row buffering.
I know you dont want a lecture, but you are aware that table buffering does not prevent you from treating it - programmatically - as if it was row-buffered I hope.
As a partial answer to your question... even things that may not intuitively seem that the record pointer might move, may move it. In other words, I doubt that you'll find the complete list. I just did a search and found nothing like that (though my searching is inept at best).
Good luck
