Renoir,

I am not 100 % sure, but look into the Flush(-command);
IMO this one is still active once per five minutes and can't be stopped.
In FoxDos it holds itself until the Read is left, and how exactly the behaviour is in VFP, I don't know.

Further, a few months ago I posted a rather extensive text about the subject, although it was not litterally on TableUpdate, but on "when is what flushed to disk". I think is was a RE of mine in "Speed tip needed" (I don't have PUTM).

It may help you ...

>I know that explicitly issuing TableUpdate obviously causes TableUpdate to occur, but when using row buffering, other than when the pointer moves, what causes TableUpdate to be done? If I debug and then do a Browse on the view it seem to happen and I need to know what else as I try and track down why TableRevert does not seem to be working. Thanks!
