David,

I've read the other replies.

Others have said that it probably will work on Win95. I can't say as I have neither Win95 anymore nor VFP7 yet!@$!#@

But I did want to reinforce what may not have been so obvious... it does run apps properly (MS has said) on Win95. Development usage specifies Win98 or better.
So you really would only have to upgrade developer's (yours only, it sounds like) equipment to be able to develop and deploy in a fully suppoeted environment.
The prices these days for a whole new configuration are amazingly low. I saw a reasonable-sounding DELL with 15" monitor for $699. in a commercial yesterday. You can probably get better (more RAM, faster processor, better video adapter) for around the same money by excluding the monitor. If not at DELL, then locally.

I must also add that I don't really understand your comment about "...all the real estate used by running Win98 or later.". If it's RAM that you are talking about, then RAM for more modern machines is running $40. for a single 256MEG chip. And I have found Win98SE to run very nicely. I can't say the same for WinME, personally, but can for Win2K too.

Keep VFP7 and upgrade IF NECESSARY.

>Woe is me! The software outfit I purchased it from (Gradware) claimed it would work with Windows 95. A quick call to Microsoft confirmed that VFP 7.0 is not supported for Windows 95 and they would absolutely not make any characterizations about how it might work under 95.

>Are there any other 95 die hards out there (who resent all of the real estate occupied by a running version of Windows 98 or later) who've tried VFP 7.0 under 95.

>Any comments on the advisability of same (before I return the box to the software vendor) ???
