Wow. Meanwhile, here's a clue FWIW...some diag code I made shows it's definately going catch() on the declaration of the Process object:

Process oProcess = oRuntime.exec(strCommand);

I'm not familiar with this object yet but I'm gonna see what I can find out. And let me know if you find out too.
