>>>Hi
>>>
>>>I have a report that is basically one large page, that will be of variable sizes due to some stretching in some of the fields.
>>>
>>>How can I do this successfully in the report writer? at the moment I have the top half of the report in a group header, and the bottom half in a group footer. But the group footer always starts a new page because it is too big to fit on the rest of the page.
>>>
>>>How can I ensure that the report writer prints all the way to the bottom of the page, and then continues on the next line where it left off?
>>>
>>>Thanks

Was your GROUP based on RECNO() or something that causes it to break for every detail record? If so, the Report Writer lets you create a large detail band so it shouldn't be a problem to put everything into the detail band. You should also make sure the Page Footer isn't larger than you need. Otherwise, it will try to leave room for the footer. That may be what is happening with your current Group Header/Footer situation. It thinks that there isn't enough room to fit the Group Footer AND the page Footer so it goes to the next page.
