Ouch, I didn't think it was a foolish decision. My customers are kindof glad I didn't wait another couple of months to give them an app (that is stable, BTW).

And what VFP7 bugs have you encountered? The problem is not with VFP7 at all, its a Windows thing as far as I can tell, or an InstallShield thing. Why would registering DLLs for one user, not register for all users.
