>I am trying to install VFP 7.0 on a machine that was just upgraded to Windows 2000 sp1 from Win 98. The installation process first went through the Windows Component Update Setup. Three components, Setup Runtime Files, MS IE 5.5, and MSMXL v3.0 were all successfully installed. Unfortunately, MS Data Access Components (MDAC) failed to install. The VFP 7.0 setup says that it can't continue until all four components are in place.

I didn't have any problem with installing SP5 (which required an MDAC update) when I re-installed VFP 6.0 on a Win2K box. Do you have administrator priviledges?
